Twelve years after the first Italian title, Piergiorgio Bucci is once again the absolute Italian champion.
The rider from L’Aquila, Parlanti Ambassador since 2014, commented on his gold medal as follows: “An unexpected result. For Casago, who is 9, this had to be the first important experience. A test bench that has instead confirmed his being a champion. I don’t remember, in my career, a horse responding in this way for the first time in a championship or in a top level category. I live this victory with the owners of Casago, with Pier Chen, with my family and my team. The goal reached by a duo is never the result of the work of horse and rider, but of team collaboration “.
The stallion Holsteiner had caught Bucci’s attention when he was only 3 years old. Arrived under his saddle when he was 5, he began his growth path up to the first step of the absolute podium.
“I congratulate Piergiorgio doubly”, commented the general manager and designer Daniele Parlanti. “The downside of the gold medal is the story of a resilient rider who was able to manage a young athletic horse in the best possible way to form a combination that, I’m sure, has just begun to amaze us”.
