Piergiorgio Bucci, born in L’Aquila in 1975, has taken a lot of steps. We are not referring to his resume (which boasts a World Cup, 5 European Championships, endless Nations Cups and a continental silver medal for teams on his neck) but to the story of his life, as an athlete and as a man of horses.
We like to think of those steps that go beyond the recognition of a GP, to dive into the footsteps he left on the ground while trying to pursue a dream born as a child.
“I’ve never had any doubts. Horses were my passion before I even got on the saddle. They were my root while I was constantly moving house ”.
Born in L’Aquila in 1975, he moved to Rome at the age of 20 and then lived in Milan, returned to Rome and then moved to Brescia. From there, the crossing over the border. Today he resides in Budel (Holland).
